My career began in Brothers an Aveda salon in Oxford in 2005, Gaining an NVQ in Hairdressing and very quickly discovering a flair for occasion styling, I was trusted with Brothers brides long before I had even completed my hairdressing NVQ due to my ability and manager’s confidence in my work. Over the years I have completed many editorial and creative courses while with Brothers, Including an Aveda Editorial Certificate, GHD Styling Course and Fellowship Of British Hairdressers Hair Up Course.
It’s been a love affair ever since, which has seen me visit many prestigious venues across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas. Venues I have been lucky enough to work at include Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons, Aynhoe Park, Notley Abbey, Poundon House, The Bay Tree Hotel, Caswell House, The Tythe Barn Launton and The Manor at Weston On The Green to name just a few.
I have continuously been doing bridal and occasion hair for the last 10 years and I occasionally worked for Love Hair & Co in the last few years, before setting up Lucy Beesley Bridal. I often find myself working closely with other highly accredited Hair & Make Up artists on a regular basis when we team up on larger bridal parties.
After offering my beautiful brides just hair for so many years I followed a passion in Make Up and qualified in Foundation and Bridal Make Up from The London School Of Make Up with an IMA Make Up Certificate. Being able to offer complete looks for my bridal parties and seeing the whole transformation solely down to my skills has enabled me to fulfil a busy and very successful career in the wedding industry. My skills are regularly required for photoshoots for bridal projects and advertising and other editorial projects.
I have spent so much time in wedding preparation rooms and through this amassed extensive experience and encountered every atmosphere possible on such a poignant occasion. There is nothing I love more than getting to know my brides and their families/friends and working with them on their vision and bringing it to life for them.
I fell in love with bridal and occasion styling a long time ago and long may that love continue…
